1. Certificate course

Basic Panchakarma
Duration: 45 Hrs. /20 days
Panchakarma (Panch=five, Karma=procedures) involves detoxification of the body using five processes namely Vamana (induced vomiting), Virechana (purgation), Basti (medicated enema), Nasya (Herbal application through nostrils) and Raktamokshana (blood letting).

Intensive Massage Ayurveda Procedures
Duration: 40 Hrs. /20 days;
Through intensive massaging procedures the body is toned, relaxed, relieved of pain and stimulated.

Basic Massage 
Duration: 20 Hrs. /10 days;
Basic massage helps in improving blood circulation, repair worn-out tissues, eliminate toxins etc.

Marma Massage 
Duration: 20 Hrs. /10 days;
‘Marma’ are those vital points which control the functioning of the whole body. Massaging the appropriate Marma points can help in correcting many conditions and problems in the body.

Foot Massage 
Duration: 20 Hrs. /10 days;
Foot massage is similar to Marma massage except that it is carried out using feet. It helps in revitalizing the body, increasing flexibility and maintaining health.

Head Massage 
Duration: 10 Hrs. /05 days; Fees:
Head massage involves massaging the scalp, hair, neck, shoulder and arms using special herbal oils and massaging techniques.

Face Massage 
Duration: 10 Hrs. /05 days;
Face Massage relieves the stress and strain in the facial muscles thereby toning the skin and arresting wrinkles.

Neck and shoulder Massage 
Duration: 10 Hrs. /07 days;

Herbal Facial Beauty Care 
Duration: 14 Hrs. /07 days;
It is a combination of head massage and face massage for improving the fairness and glow of the skin.

Ayurvedic Spa Therapies Diploma
Duration : 8 weeks
Course Code: AYA 002
This is a 8 week intensive programme designed to create Ayurveda consultants. The programme builds further on the foundation course, by customizing the therapies for vata, pitta and kapha doshic types. Students will be trained in Ayurveda spa therapies, as the customization of the wellness programmes is an important aspect of this course. Business principles on being a successful Ayurvedic Wellness Consultant. This course will also qualify attendees to become an Ayurvedic spa therapist to practice the science of rejuvenation.

The following therapies will be taught:

1. Ayurvedic Beauty Care

  • Mukhelepa (herbal facial pack)
  • Tarpan (eye treatment)
  • Shiropichu and Shirolepa (hair treatment)

2. Ayurveda Body and Health Treatments:

  • Abhangya (body massage)
  • Shirodhara (dripping oil on the forehead)
  • Sarvangadhara (dripping oil on entire body)
  • Churnasweda (poultice fomentation)
  • Kati basti, greeva basti, janu basti (localized treatments)
  • Indian marma head massage (Indian massage focusing on certain meridian points)
  • Gandusha and kavalgraha (oral treatment)
  • Nasya (Nasal Treatment)
  • Karnapurana (Ear Treatment)

3. Ayurveda Spa Treatments:

  • Udhvartana (body scrubs will vary according to doshic type)
  • Tanlepa (body mask according to doshic type)
  • Marma Pada-abhangya with a scrub (foot massage and scrub focusing on marma points).

This course also includes etiquette and methods for becoming an ayurvedic wellness consultant.

 

2. Diploma Course

Advanced Ayurveda Learning Level 1 
This program is for students who have a primary awareness in ayurveda to go to next level of ayurveda learning.
Methodology   Main focus will be on Pharmacology and life style covering different herbs used for treatment of diseases. Ayurvedic herb preparation, Identification of the herbs, Herbarium preparation, Training in Raw drug division and Botanical garden and learning pathology of selected diseases etc.

Ayurvedic pathology( Roga Nidana),etiology ,Signs , symptoms, pathology of diseases ,examination criteria (ashta vidha pariksha, dasa vidha pariksha , tri vidha pariksha),fever, arthritis, nervous diseases, obesity, diabetes, acidity, haemorrhoids, skin disease.

Advanced Ayurveda Learning Level 2 
This program covers the practical training on management of diseases with patient focus.
Methodology              –                      Main focus will be on management of specific diseases and their ayurvedic management with patient interaction & and training in KAL Hospital.

A detailed theory of Panchakarma will be covered, including the Poorvakarma (Preparation), Pradhanakarma (Main Procedure) and Paschatkarma (Post procedural convalescence). The preparatory procedures including, various types of Snehana & Swedana therapies including Abhyanga, Choornasweda, Patrapotala Sweda, Njavarakizhi, Pizhichil, Kateevasthy, Nethratharpanam, Lepam, Pichu, etc. This course also includes the five-fold Ayurvedic Detoxification procedures such as Vamana, Virechana, Anuvasana, Niroohavasthy and Nasya. The post Panchakarma convalescence like specific food and lifestyle modification is also a part of this course. Certificate Course
This training programe is exclusively for Ayurvedic medical practitioners and this programe gives emphasis on Poorvakarma & Panchakarma.

Higher Proficiency in Ayurveda
Certificate programe for the benefit of young and ambitious Ayurvedic doctors . This programme aims at complete grooming of doctors to into Kerala special clinical practices.
