Diagnosis: Diagnosis is mainly done on physical examination and symptoms. The physician may also recommend Upper GI endoscopy to know the level and type of pathology.
Complications: Timely diagnosis and management is very important to check further progression and severity of the disease condition. Delay in diagnosis and treatment may result in Stomach and/or duodenal ulcers, Anaemia, Stomach bleeding, Chronic Gastritis, Vitamin and Mineral deficiencies, stomach perforation or Gastric metaplasia.
Gastric troubles should not be ignored or delayed and must be consulted as soon as faced from a doctor. The modern system of medicine comes with few treatment options like Acid suppressive therapy, the Drugs-antacid approach, Antibiotics, Supportive therapy- protein supplement. All in all including H2 antagonists, proton pump inhibitors, Prokinetics and drugs to block the action of acetylcholin . These antibiotics which relieve infections like H-pylori, Intravenous fluid therapy and Loading dose of Vitamin- B12. All the above treatment options are limited to provide only symptomatic relief that too on temporary basis and even comes with adverse side effects if used for longer duration.

Panchkarma Therapy principally includes five treatment procedures namely:
1. Vaman: This procedure removes Kapha Toxins collected in body over a long period.
2. Virechan: This procedure helps in removing Pitta Toxins from the body.
3. Basti: This procedure cleans the Colon & Increases Muscle Tone.
4. Nasya: This procedure cleans the Nasal Passage and Strengthens it.
5. Raktamokshan: This procedure removes toxins from Blood.
