In Ayurveda it istermed as Sheetada. Bleeding gums are becoming most common problem how a days due to bad oral health. And in Ayurveda it is believed that it is caused due to vitiation of pitta dosha and kapha doahas. When the liver is in an inactive state, the Pitta doshas which are evenly distributed throughout the body start moving towards one common direction, causing accumulation of excess pitta. The excessive pitta in the gums fails to hold the blood in the surrounding blood vessels ultimately causing bleeding gums. In certain cases, it can also aggravate the Kapha doshas causing bacterial infection in the teeth and gums.
In sri Vaidya our physicians panchkarma therapies are also prescribed by which dosha’s pacify permanently and doesn’t reoccur or cause any further bleeding or damage into the teeth’s on gums. Also helps in maintaining a good oral health. Balances pitta and kapha dosha in the body and eliminate the toxins from the body without causing any further damage.
