In Ayurveda dysmenorrhea is termed as Kashta artava. According to Ayurveda it has been caused due to vitiation of Apan Vayu which is responsible for excretion of waste, cell division and many movements in the body. Due to this vitiated Apan Vayu, the coliky pain is felt by patient and the discharge is excrete out with difficulty and becomes frothy.

When pitta is involved with vata dosha, the patient may feel symptoms like chronic backache, painful intercourse and periods with excessive bleeding  which can be associated with other diseases like PID, endometriosis, fibroid, PCOD etc.

For treating this vitiated Apan Vayu which is causing Dysmenorrhea various Panchkarma Therapies are administered. These therapies pacify the Apan Vayu and thus reduces pain. Also it helps in toning and strengthening the uterus which reduces irritability. Also reduces cramps and other associated symptoms without causing any side effects. These therapies will not only pacify the aggravated doshas. But also removes the vitiated doshas from the body which help in relieving in pain and better absorption and function of medicines over the body.

Along with these therapy medicine, diet and yoga are advised which helps in reducing the complaint of dysmenorrhea.

Apart from dysmenorrhea we also treat PCOS, PID, endometriosis, fibroid, metrorrhagia, menorrhagia, amenorrhea, adenomyosis, infertility etc.
