This balances the hormones, regulate menstrual cycle, and also remove blockage in the fallopian tubes. Vamana: This procedure helps in pacifying increased kapha. In this procedure controlled emesis are introduced that is usually performed in the month of february to April. It helps in purifying toxins present in body and also balances the hormonal system. Virechana: This remedy helps in eliminating body toxins and vitiating Pitta. It acts on the Vaman karma hormones and cleanses the small intestine and other Pitta zones in the body. Virechana is usually administered three days after Vamana and it cleanses Pitta through the lower pathways. Uttarbasti or Uttarvasthi: This is the most important and result giving therapy in gynaecological disorders. It helps in giving nourishment to uterus and ovaries and also treats various diseases related to these organs. It pacifies apana Vayu and clearify aartava vaha srotas. This procedure is performed under aseptic condition and medicine is given directly to the uterus through vagina for specific number of days according to the health issue. Yoniprakshalana: This procedure involves vulva and vagina irrigation with medicated warm decoction made with herbs prescribed for the disease of the patient. This procedure is carried for 8-10 days depending on the condition. It helps in clearifying vaginal route and muscles and helps in preventing formation of yeast and other microorganisms.
