Tennis Elbow

What is Tennis Elbow??

It is a painful inflammation of the elbow joint. The pain is located on the outside of the elbow but may radiate down the back of your forearm. You will likely feel the pain when you straighten or fully extend your arm.

  1. Elbow pain that is mild at first but gradually gets worse 
  2. Pain intending firm the outside of elbow down to forearm and wrist 
  3. Weak grip 
  4. Increased pain when shaking hand
  5. Pain when lifting something using tools or opening jars

Tennis elbow can be triggered by any activity that involves repetitive twisting of the wrist 

These activities may include:-

  1. Tennis and other racquet shots 
  2. Swimming 
  3. Golfing
  4. Turning a bey
  5. Frequently using a screwdriver, hammer or computer
  1. Not warming up before strenuous activity 
  2. Improper use of sports equipment 
  3. Painting & plumbing 
  4. Poor athletic technique 
  5. Working on cars, assembly line 
  6. People above age 30 are at increased risk of developing tennis elbow
